Okay, I've come to the conclusion that the only way I can get my traffic fully moved over to my new site is to stop posting on the typepad site. On March 1st I will abandon this site for good, up until then I will continue to post on both sites and will post a nag every couple of days reminding you to come on over to www.jeffnolan.com.
If at all possible, you should set up a permanent redirect from the old site to the new site and from the old feed to the new feed. That way, any people subscribed to the old feed through an aggregator will automatically be transfered to the new feed.

Mark

Thanks Mark.
One of the nice things about using feedburner is that I was able to redirect the underlying feed to my new blog, so I'm covered on that one point. My original typepad feed still goes to the old blog obviously.
Here's a question for you, can I redirect all of my bloglines subscribers to my new feed? In essence, push the new feed to the subscribers in the background.
