Been playing around with TagCloud, which is a really cool way to visualize what blogs are writing about by looking at tags. I don't know much about this beyond that.
I uploaded an OPML of the venture blogs I read and created a cloud, very surprising seeing what came to the top of the tag pile.
You can manipulate tag clouds anyway you wish to give whatever prominence you want.
Much better to have a sensible category listing with numbers of posts against each.
Then I can see what the relative numeric weight is by glancing down. Tag clouds don't help me except in a very sweeping sense.
It's a piece of functionality I'm trying to sort out right now.

I've been using it for a while. At first it didn't update after the initial rendition. It tends to select strange words as the tags, I find - adjectives and verbs for instance. Ones which you wouldn't really want to navigate to, but it's fun to see which topics come up the most.
