gmail spam

I've had a gmail account for about a week, got my first piece of spam today... I guess it is true that the more things change the more they stay the same.

** update: actually, I had 3 spam messages, 2 of which were flagged by the built-in spam filter including one from "JOHN UTAKA, CREDIT OFFICER WITH THE UNION BANK OF NIGERIA PLC,LAGOS." who needed my assistance in transferring "huge sums of money in confidence". I almost have to admire the persistance of the scammers and the spammers, they never give up.
