New Fundings:
- MetaCarta, Inc., a geographic information application solutions provider, announced that it had secured $6.5 million in Series B funding from venture capital firms and institutional investors. The list of investors includes Sevin Rosen Funds, Solstice Capital, Chevron Technology Ventures LLC and Chisholm Private Capital Partners. via Marc Goodner
- North Bridge Venture Partners led an $8 million Series C round for Kubi Software, a developer of collaboration and email software. Lazard Technology Partners and Venture Investment Management Company also participated. In connection with the financing, North Bridge Venture Partners General Partner Michael Skok will join the Kubi Software board. ** this is a pretty cool company, I saw them at Demo last year and really liked it, basically it's a plug-in to Outlook that gives email many of the collaboration and KM tools of more powerful applications... without leaving Outlook.
