WTF is going on with Typepad this week? It's been dreadfully slow and I get a lot of "typepad has encountered an error" pages. I've had so many timeouts this week while attempting to post or use the management interface that I lost count.

I have had the same problem ever since they released TypePad 1.6. IMHO they are getting a lot more traffic on the admin UI b/c of comments/trackbacks moderation.
