Seattle Busmonster

If only the architects of web services were creative enough to come up with examples like this... Seattle Busmonster is a google map hack that helps you find bus stops (in Seattle of course) AND get realtime bus info. For example, click on a bus route and you will see all of the buses that are currently on that line along with ETA information for each stop. It is simply put an amazing display of utility.

Another feature is the access it provides to hundreds of traffic cams for realtime traffic information but to be honest I wasn't able to figure out how that works.

When you view the traffic cams it show the current live still image (that is updated every 5 minutes at least, according to the site). Because the cameras can face multiple directions the links on the side show 'archive' pictures taken when the camera was facing in that particular direction.
To view the archive stills you simply roll-over the links with your mouse. As soon as you move off of them it returns to the current 'live' shot.

A very impressive site indeed! Good find!
