Airset online calendar and contact manager
After I wrote about Trumba I got an email from the guys over at AirSet. I signed up and gave it a spin. I do like the UI better than Trumba, and from the looks of it they have some interesting mobile features I'll be interested to try. I like the groups management features as well.
Link: SiliconBeat: Trumba's calendar-sharing not quite there.
Between the lines, our colleague Mike Langberg comes off less than ethusiastic about the calendar-sharing product offered by start-up Trumba. (He starts out his review with enthusiasm, but by the end of the piece you're wondering why anyone would actually pay for this).

I have recently switched from Trumba to Airset, which now has so many more features. I like the "to do" lists especially. This is a great service for families and businesses, too. I can't believe it's free.

I don't understand the Trumba business model. I sign up for $30, and then tell all my friends, family, little league, school etc. to come join me - and buckup $30.
It seems like an Internet - Amway Ponzi Scheme to me - with only the Trumba folks making the $$$.
Airset seems to have more features and is free. It looks like the only money they want to make is through the phone client (which Trumba doesn't have).
I can also sync to my Palm which is fine for me.
