Technology myths and human realities

It's happening... unstructured text search. Been a long time in coming and when it gets into the hands of users look out, a whole new way to manage information.

Q: Why is this query so amazingly cool?

Because it searches a database of the blogs I read using a combination of freetext, structured, and regular-expression technologies
Because it uses XQuery 1.0 and XPath 2.0
Because you can subscribe to the results as RSS
Because you can modify it to create your own customized and RSS-accessible view of my database of feeds

A: All of the above. And yet...so what? ...

Hi Jeff. Thought you might be interested in this little service I threw together http://mjg.md/ (the URL is easy to type on mobile phones, 6 key presses) that will process any website or xml document on the internet using XQuery and give you the results. Very useful for cutting down large pages to fit on mobile phones for example.
