I have been using a really neat service called RSS Calendar. In short, it allows all of the basic calendar functions we are accustomed to with a RSS hook that enables distribution of the calendar. For example, I can put our family calendar items in it and my wife and extended family get daily/weekly/monthly RSS feeds for monitoring it. I could envision a number of additional business uses for the service, like putting out an investor relations calendar, product release dates for customers, and internal company calendars.
It's pretty basic stuff, but it works and it is valuable from the moment you start using it. On my wishlist for it are better editing tools and Outlook integration. It's a free service as well.
